Synoptic announced today that it has been awarded a subcontract with UCAR to integrate data from UCAR’s 3D-PAWS (3D Printed Automatic Weather Station) network into the Synoptic platform. This partnership will provide National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) in 18 countries with centralized access to real-time weather observations, visualization tools, automated alerts, and data dissemination capabilities through the Synoptic Data Viewer and Weather API.
By improving access to high-quality surface observations from historically under-observed regions, the initiative will also support NOAA forecasting models and strengthen global weather monitoring and resilience efforts. Read more about the partnership and its impact on the future of weather data sharing and forecasting accuracy.
